After a hair transplant, you first wash the transplanted area with a foam spray, then your whole head with a shampoo, using gentle movements. Always rinse with cold or lukewarm water, never hot. The first wash takes place at the clinic, on day 1 after surgery (the day after the operation). The routine is one wash a day for the first 15 days, then 3 to 4 a week. This page covers the products supplied by the Klineva clinic in Istanbul, the 7 steps, the team’s video and the key dates from day 1 to day 18 after surgery.

The Klineva clinic provides you with the following two products to look after your hair after the transplant: the foam spray and the shampoo. This washing kit is included in all our packages and covers at least the first two weeks, and possibly three. Once the shampoo bottle is finished, you can switch to a Growth Factor-type product.

Use on the transplanted area, at the start of the wash (steps 1 to 3).

Then apply to your whole head (steps 4 to 7).
These products are not part of the washing kit. Here are the ones we recommend after a hair transplant, on the growth-factor.fr shop. The GrowthFactor shampoo is different from the shampoo in the clinic’s washing kit (left on for 3 minutes): follow the instructions for each product.

Three 250 ml bottles, paraben-free, to follow on from the shampoo in the kit.

Follow the steps in order, with gentle movements. The first wash takes place at the clinic (day 1 after surgery). The frequency is given below, and the key dates in the next section.

| Period | Frequency |
|---|---|
| The first 15 days | 1 wash a day |
| After that | 3 to 4 washes a week |
| When | What to do |
|---|---|
| Day 1 | First hair wash after the operation, at the clinic. Removal of the dressing placed on the donor area on the first night. |
| Day 7 | First follow-up. End of taking the medication and start of biotin*. |
| Day 10 | More frequent washing if needed. At the follow-up, if many scabs remain on day 10, the clinic asks you to switch to two washes a day. Use circular movements. |
| Day 15 | End of healing and no more scabs (very important). If any remain, contact your medical adviser. |
| Day 18 | Start of the Growth Factor serum*. |
* Optional.

The first wash takes place at the clinic on day 1 after surgery, that is, the day after the operation. The 7 steps on this page then explain how to go about it: the foam spray on the transplanted area, then the shampoo on the whole head.
For the first 15 days, you wash your hair once a day. After that, the routine is 3 to 4 washes a week. At the follow-up, if many scabs remain on day 10, the clinic asks you to switch to two washes a day. These figures come from the Klineva clinic’s washing protocol.
No. The clinic’s instruction is clear: absolutely no hot water. After the foam spray, as after the shampoo, rinse with cold or lukewarm water.
With the foam spray, wait 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing. With the shampoo, first work it into a lather between your hands, apply it to your whole head and leave it on for 3 minutes.
